The town of Kilbeggan ccould be in line for a €10m, civic Christmas present very soon when a final decision on a new shopping and medical centre is delivered by the Council.
Word on the Sarin Properties development on the Tullamore Road is expected by December 23.
The project is planned in two elements - retail and medical.
The retail side will comprise a retail anchor, eight shops, a pharmacy, two offices, and an enclosed mall over two storeys, with a total floor area of 4,344 sq m.
The primary health care centre will offer 11 consulting rooms over two floors.
The site has planned for 271 car parking spaces and 30 for bicycles.
A new cycle and pedestrian access road is planned to come in off the Tullamore Road.
