The fifth year of the Midlands Next Top Model competition came to a glamorous conclusion last week at Athlone Towncentre’s Style Sensation Event. The event, which was held in the Sheraton Athlone Hotel, was hosted by renowned stylist, author, and TV personality Lisa Fitzpatrick.
As part of the event, five Midlands Next Top Model finalists took to the stage alongside the professional models from Catwalk Modelling Agency. As the show reached its nail biting conclusion, Nicole Forde was revealed as the overall winner and walked away with a €1,000 shopping spree for Athlone Towncentre as well as a year long contract with Catwalk Modelling Agency in Galway.
Speaking at the event marketing manager for Athlone Towncentre, Shirley Delahunt, said, “We were absolutely overwhelmed with the standard of entries in this year’s competition; all five finalists performed so well in what must have been a really daunting experience given that the event was a complete sell-out. We are really looking forward to working with Nicole over the coming year as she represents Athlone Towncentre at various fashion events and photoshoots.”
All proceeds from the night are being donated to Athlone Samaritans and Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
