Could the country’s undiscovered modelling talent be in our midst in the Midlands?
Athlone Towncentre, in association with Catwalk Modelling Agency and Tom Tailor Athlone has recently launched the search for the Midlands Next Top Model 2013.
The competition, now in its fifth year, has provided a springboard to success for some of the newest faces in the industry and with the recent expansion of Catwalk Modelling Agency into the Dublin market, the opportunities are limitless for this year’s winner.
Previous winners includes Athlone’s own Darren King, who has enjoyed huge success in many areas from the catwalk through to photoshoots with national magazines, including most recently a cover shoot for the outdoor company, Portwest.
Speaking at the launch of the event, Catwalk Modelling Agency MD and judge Mandy Maher said “We’re delighted to get involved in this event for the fifth year with Athlone Towncentre. The Midlands Next Top Model process has provided us with four fantastic winners to date who, we are delighted to say, have stayed on our agency books long after their initial year-long contract has expired. All are getting regular work in everything from fashion shows to photoshoots to promotional work.”
The Midlands Next Top Model opening casting days will be held in Athlone Towncentre on Saturday March 30 and Saturday April 6 from 2-5pm. Casting is open to both male and female applicants who are over 16 years of age. On both days, judges will be meeting with interested applicants as well as casting a keen eye around the mall for any potential modelling talent. Full details of the Midlands Next Top Model can be found at www.athlonetowncentre.com or Facebook.
The overall winner will be crowned as part of the glamorous Style Sensation fashion and styling event hosted by Athlone Towncentre in the Sheraton Athlone Hotel on Thursday April 25, where the final five participants will take their place alongside the professional modelling team from Catwalk. The newly crowned Midlands Next Top Model will then receive a year-long modelling contract with Catwalk Modelling Agency as well as a €500 shopping spree in Athlone Towncentre and an additional €500 to spend in Tom Tailor & Tom Tailor Denim, Athlone.
