Calling all curvy Westmeath ladies

Tempted, the plus-size fashion chain for women, is calling on all curvy ladies from Westmeath to enter its annual model search competition, which could launch the career of Ireland’s next top curvy model.

Entrants are welcome from all walks of life, and should be a size 16 plus, over 18 years of age, and love clothes and fashion, according to organiser Rosemary Kearns of Tempted Boutiques.

The Tempted competition winner will model on Ireland AM, and take part in a fashion shoot for the stores. Last year’s winner, 27-year-old Sinead O’Brien from Limerick, went on to be signed as a plus-size model with Andrea Roche’s Dublin modelling agency, and the classically trained soprano now combines modelling with her singing career.

According to Sinead, “Being the Face of Tempted had changed so much for me personally - confidence, profile, and fashionwise. I’ve done so many fun things throughout the year from location photo shoots, modelling on Ireland AM, photo-shoots in the shop. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”

The total prize package is worth €3,000 and includes €1,000 Curvy Cash to spend in store, a two-night break in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, a fashion shoot with photographer Maria McGrail, make-up course with The International Make Up Academy, a hair care hamper from Mane n’Tail, and a teeth-whitening voucher from The White House.

Fifteen women from across Ireland will be selected for the final of the Tempted Boutique Model Search competition, to be held on Sunday May 12 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry.

Entrants can apply online at www.tempted.ie or on www.facebook.com/temptedsize16to28 All you need is two photos and a few details about yourself. The closing date for entries is April 5.
