Mullingar Student Players will be celebrating 10 years in existence with a production of Miss Saigon which will run in Mullingar Arts Centre from April 2-6.
Miss Saigon is based loosely on Puccini’s opera, Madame Butterfly. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed romance between an Asian woman and her American GI lover. The setting is Saigon in the 1970s, during the Vietnam War, and it has enjoyed record-breaking runs in the West End and on Broadway.
Technical wizardry includes special effects, which the team at the Mullingar Arts Centre, under the capable direction of Paul McDermott is quite accustomed to delivering.
Miss Saigon will be presented at the Mullingar Arts Centre from Tuesday April 2 to Saturday April 6, at 8pm. Tickets are €15/€12 and can be booked by calling (044 ) 9347777.
