The Aftermath to feature songs on Hardy Bucks soundtrack

Midlands-based band The Aftermath hit the silver screen last week with not one but two songs featured on what is to be one of the biggest Irish films of the year The Hardy Bucks Movie.

One of the songs is a reworked version of their World Cup anthem with Shane MacGowan ‘The Rockier Road to Poland’, and the other is ‘Are you not wanting me yet?’ the lead track from the band’s debut album.

Mick Cronin says on the matter “It really is great to feature on such a funny film, we just got a phone call out of the blue from the film’s director Mike Cockayne asking us to use the tracks and are really excited he choose our song for the lead title piece.”

The Hardy Bucks Movie is out now in all good cinemas.

The Aftermath play - John Dalys Pub, Mullingar on Saturday March 9 and The Tullamore Court Hotel along with Mundy on Sunday March 17.
