Following closely on their very successful Christmas concert in the Cathedral of Christ the King, the choir of Mullingar Choral Society are now busy preparing for the main concert of the season, which is due to take place on Sunday March 3 in the Cathedral.
Under the leadership of musical director Fergus O’Carroll (by kind permission of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra ) the choral society look forward to presenting Mozart’s ‘Coronation Mass’ and ‘Sacred Vespers’, and excerpts from ‘Maritana’ by WV Wallace.
The concert is kindly sponsored by Mullingar Credit Union supported by Westmeath County Council. Tickets cost €20 and are available in Days Bazaar, Mullingar Art Centre, any choir member, and of course at the door on the night.
