Elevens have been wowing audiences with their wonderfully crafted songs delivered with great poignancy by lead singer Martin McCann. The much talked-about band will bring their eclectic acoustic sound to the surrounds of The Stables on Saturday, February 2.
Supplementing their acoustic prowess with ukulele, Omnichord, Melodica, and Toy Bells amongst other gadgetry, the latest batch of songs display yet another side of the band by changing tone and upping the tempo. Elevens’ gigs have come to be considered events on the live music calendar and a truly unique musical experience.
Named after guitar string gauge size, a happy accident when Tony Barrett set his newly bought acoustic guitar with a set of Elevens instead of the standard Twelves, the Dublin-based three-piece was formed in 2009 by Martin McCann and Tony Barrett from two of Dublin’s most prestigious Indie bands.
Elevens have come to soothe the senses with their simple arrangements and unique delivery. The band has many fans including Chrissie Hynde and Morrissey, having attended one of their shows at the infamous Ronnie Scotts in London.
Elevens will be joined by special guests Cronin and Icon On Fire, doors open at 8pm and tickets are priced at €8.
