MINI absorbs VRT rise on two diesel models

Mini is offering Irish customers a unique opportunity to beat the VRT tax hike in 2013, by absorbing the tax increase on the One D and Cooper D Hatch models, which output a low 99g/km of CO2.

The One D and Cooper D Hatch models come with Mini’s three year warranty, three years emergency service, and fixed pricing servicing.

.The Mini First Hatch is available for €299 per month with a deposit of just €299 over three years. The Mini One D is available for €273 per month with a €2,999 deposit, again over three years.

Kevin Hennebry, Mini manager told the Advertiser: “Mini’s acclaimed ‘minimalism’ environmental systems lead to lower CO2 emissions offering Irish customers a more affordable and economical product without compromising the car’s driving performance and fun element.

“But today’s Irish consumer is seeking more than this - we see more and more customers are coming into our showrooms looking for value. Mini Ireland is working in tandem with dealerships to offer premium vehicles under new ownership concepts such as Mini Select which is a personal contract plan product.

“Additionally, showroom feedback on the proposed 131 plate has been positive with customers understanding the need for the change.”

“Mini is also expanding its range to meet the needs of the Irish motorist, which now included the four-door Mini Countryman. Indeed in March Mini will launch its eighth model called the Paceman bringing ever more choice to the Irish motorist.”
