Alleged sexual assault offender bailed to live outside Westmeath

A man charged with sexually assaulting a child is now living outside Westmeath.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the alleged victim, is living in County Meath where he is to sign on daily at his local Garda station.

He is under curfew and forbidden from making any contact with the young victim and is not to take out a passport.

He was charged under Section 3 of the Rape Act relating to an incident in Westmeath in April of 2011.
