Music-lovers in the Midlands can enjoy the Viennese Strauss Gala experience without having to go any further than the Mullingar Arts Centre this January 20.
All the romance and nostalgia of the ballrooms of old Vienna will be presented in A Viennese Strauss Gala. This beautifully-crafted production is cleverly choreographed, tastefully costumed and magnificently sung.
Reminiscent of a bygone age of glamorous soirées and Strauss waltzes, A Viennese Strauss Gala features highlights from some of the great operettas of the Strauss family, Kálmán and Lehár; including Die Fledermaus, The Merry Widow, A Night in Venice, and many more.
The European Orchestral Ensemble will accompany soloists with experience gained from several major opera companies; including Opera North, English National Opera, and D’Oyly Carte Opera Company.
Originally arranged by Matthew Freeman, conductor with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and now in its seventh sell-out year, this exquisite production is back by popular demand with a brand new repertoire.
