Midlands Simon Community, in partnership with Athlone Institute of Technology and local Paralympic double gold medallist Mark Rohan, are delighted to announce that the second annual Santa Dash will take place on Wednesday December 19 at 7pm at AIT. This one-mile event is an excellent way for people across the Midlands to show solidarity with some of the most vulnerable in our society this Christmas.
Entry for the event is just €15 and people are being asked to register early to guarantee a free Santa suit! Santa suits will be provided for participants of the race, first come first served. To register contact (087 ) 9925083 or [email protected], or go to www.idonate.ie/eventdetail php?id=272.
The event is fun and festive and is open to anyone who can run, walk, jog, or crawl the one-mile course. AIT are also making their excellent facilities available, and refreshments will be available afterwards.
Speaking at the launch of the event, Mark Rohan said “I am delighted to be here to lend my support to this terrific festive initiative in aid of Midlands Simon. I would encourage anyone interested in participating to turn up on December 19 to support a great local cause.”
