The ASPCA are seeking volunteers for their street collection which takes place on Friday November 30 and Saturday December 1 from 10am to 6pm each day in Athlone. Volunteers are needed for both days, with all money raised going directly to helping animals.
So far this year the ASPCA has trapped, neutered, or spayed, and released 100 feral cats. It has been a bad year for cat flu in kittens and parvo in puppies, and the ASPCA has treated quite a few. They have also helped goats, dogs, cats, swans, ducks, and goslings over the last year. Funds are now low, and for this reason they would urge people to come out and support them in their collection.
Please ring (087 ) 9925052 if you can spare some time to help collect.
