Musical Toast are a vocal trio formed only a couple of years ago. Their dazzling programme ranges from the works of Schubert and Bizet, to those of American composer Stephen Foster and musicals of the 20th Century.
Musical Toast is made up of tenor David Martin, baritoneJonathan Carter, and soprano Edel Shannon.
David Martin is from Dundalk in Co Louth; he is a fine lyric tenor and one of the well known trio The Three Tenors. Baritone Jonathan Carter hails from Strandhill in Co Sligo. He brings to Musical Toast a rich baritone voice, as playful in ‘Die Forelle’ as it is plaintive in ‘Bring Him Home’. Edel Shannon is a wonderfully melodic soprano with a wealth of experience in opera and concert performance. She also comes from County Sligo but is currently based in Dublin. Together, Musical Toast bring a wealth of experience, talent, and not a little playful fun to opera and art song, lieder, and musical favourites.
