Is Mullingar ready for The Full Monty?

The answer has to be a resounding yes! Come on, girls, round up the gang and head down to Mullingar Arts Centre for a night of fun and entertainment.

The Full Monty is a musical adaptation of the enormously successful British film of the same name. In this version, set in a midlands town, a group of men, all of whom have lost their jobs, resolve to find success, fame, and fortune by forming a dance troupe. The story follows our heroes as they prepare for their show, working through their fears, self-doubts, and anxieties, until they finally overcome their insecurities and find strength through their camaraderie.

The Full Monty has played to packed houses on Broadway, with two seasons in the West End, where it won the London Evening Standard Theatre Award for best musical. This award-winning musical has also played internationally, from Croatia to Mexico, and Hong Kong to Sweden.

The talented Mullingar cast includes Siobhán Murphy, Leah Finnane, Niamh O’Shea, Eimear Doolin, Sarah Corrigan, Aidan Ennis, Steve Harris, Paul McDermott, Liam Gilleran, Richie Geoghegan, John Daly, Andrew Dunne, Chris Corroon, Tony Irwin, Valerie Moore, Mary Hughes, and James Elliffe.

Shake off those blues and enjoy a really good laugh in the company of Mullingar Musical Society, under the direction of Sean Lynch, with musical director Angela Lynch.

The Full Monty at Mullingar Arts Centre opened yesterday [Thursday] and runs until Saturday October 6 at 8pm; and again from Thursday to Saturday October 11-13 at 8pm. Tickets are available (€15 and €12 ) from the box office at (044 ) 9347777, which is open Monday to Friday 9am- 9.30pm, and Saturdays 9am-6pm.
