Fall in love with the spud with the return of Keogh’s National Potato Day 2012 this Saturday August 25.
The second annual National Potato Day, which falls this Saturday August 25, will see the people of Ireland encouraged to revisit their roots and grow their love for the humble spud.
To mark this unique day, Keogh’s will have a special marquee dedicated to the spud during the Tall Ships Races 2012 in Dublin this weekend.
Visitors to the marquee can enjoy all aspects of the spud including free samples of Keogh’s crisps and potato goodies. Keogh’s iconic ‘I LOVE SPUD’ t-shirts and tote bags will also be available. There will also be demonstrations on how versatile the spud is with nutritional information and quirky recipes!
Keogh’s will also encourage people to sign their petition to make the potato the official vegetable of Ireland! For more information on Ireland’s second National Potato Day on August 25 and to add your name to the petition, visit www.keoghs.ie
