Charity fun run and duathlon planned for Ballydangan

A fun run/walk, cycle, and duathlon is planned for next weekend, Sunday August 19.

The event, which has been organised by Ballydangan residents Carlem Goldrick, along with her daughter and her friend Ciara Claffey, is open to all and aims to raise funds for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

Participants are welcome to walk, run, cycle, or even skip and crawl the race. They have designed an event for everyone with a 10km walk/run and a 23km cycle route planned. Anyone feeling adventurous is welcome to sign up for the duathlon, run the 10km and then cycle the 23km.

The walkers/runners and the duathlon entrants will start at 1pm and the cyclists will start at 2pm - all departing from Millar’s Pub, Ballydangan.

Entry for the 10km race in advance is €15, and €20 on the day; the duathlon is €25 in advance and €35 on the day; under 16s are also welcome and entry is €10, they must be accompanied by an adult; groups can also register at €13 in advance and €15 on the day, per entrant.
