Almost a year after the Government scrapped Scrappage, Renault is back with a new scrappage deal for the month of June, writes Padraic Deane.
Customers who buy a new Renault car and trade in their eight year or older vehicle will get an extra €1,500 on top of the current offer and a five year unlimited mileage warranty.
Also for the month of June, customers can avail of zero per cent APR finance offers from Renault Finance. A new advertising campaign including TV, radio, press, and online has kicked off with the timely Scrapattoni Scrappage Deal and the Renault Reporter.
Renault Ireland pioneered scrappage.ie in late 2009 and saw their sales increase as a result of their and the Government’s scrappage scheme and now from June 1 customers will once again be able to purchase some of the top selling cars in Ireland at great prices including the big selling Clio Expression starting from €10,490.
Eric Basset, managing director, Renault Ireland told the Advertiser, “Scrappage worked for the motor industry in Ireland. Renault wants to again give customers a chance to cash in on their old vehicles and to purchase a brand new Renault with the added bonus of five years unlimited mileage warranty and great zero per cent APR finance offers. If the Government won’t bring it back then it’s up to us to bring scrappage back!”
