St Brigid’s get off to winning start

Reigning champions St Brigid’s got this year’s Roscommon club championship campaign off to a winning start when they easily accounted for a disappointing Kilbride in Kiltoom last Saturday. The final score-line of 3-14 to 0-9 tells its own story and on this evidence the Saints will be hard stopped in their bid to collect another county title this year.

Clann na Gael had to settle for a draw against a game St Croan’s side. Matt Scally helped himself to 2-2 while Donie Shine kicked the equalizing point in injury time.

Meanwhile Padraig Pearses marked their return to senior ranks with a one point win over Kilmore. The next round of the Roscommon senior club championship will not be until sometime in August.
