Westmeath County Enterprise Board is hosting a women in business seminar entitled ‘Unlocking the True Potential of Your Business’.
The theme of this half-day seminar will be positive, motivational, and outward looking. Guest speakers on the morning will include motivational speaker Gerry Duffy and John Maguire, entrepreneur.
The seminar is being organised by Westmeath County Enterprise Board and is taking place on Tuesday June 19 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone. The event commences at 9.30am and includes facilitated networking, optional one-to-one mentoring sessions on the topics of taxation, finance, and legal, and a networking lunch. The event fee is €10.
Keynote speaker on the day will be Westmeath’s own Gerry Duffy who will speak on the topic of ‘Unlocking the True Potential of Your Business’ - Gerry is a self-employed professional motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and writer. Gerry’s sporting CV is filled with accomplishments such as running 32 marathons in 32 days around Ireland as well as completing and winning the inaugural UK DECA Endroman Ironman distance challenge in 2011.
Other speakers on the morning will be John Maguire who will address the topic of ‘How to survive and thrive when money is tight’ - John Mcguire is a serial entrepreneur, professional investor, and is best known for presenting the RTÉ 2 show ‘I’m An Adult Get Me Out Of Here’. Susan Hayes, the positive economist, will give a presention on overcoming barriers in business and developing strategies for business.
Commenting on the topic for the seminar, Westmeath County Enterprise Board CEO, Christine Charlton said, “All businesses no matter what sector they operate in, are facing challenges. It’s hard to remain positive in an environment of negativity. We hope to help attendees achieve a positive attitude and outlook for their businesses in 2012 and beyond.”
