Kilisha’s fashion dream comes true

Last week little Kilisha Glennon became a princess for the day, thanks to Share a Dream.

Kilisha is a nine-year-old girl from Edenderry, Co Offaly. She is a kind, caring and loving little girl who was like any other child into music, dancing, and hip hop and fashion. However, two years ago her whole life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. Despite having major surgery in Temple Street, Kilisha still has a long hard road ahead of her and is still attending hospital for more treatments.

So when Share a Dream were contacted to make a special dream come true for Kilisha of being a model for a day they immediately got to work.

Last week Kilisha and her family travelled to the Sheraton Athlone by Garda escort. Her dream was to be treated like a princess so she was spoilt for the day. She got her hair, nails, and make-up done before being fitted for a new dress and shoes. She was then treated like a VIP at dinner before strutting her stuff down a catwalk at the Sheraton’s A Cause for Fashion night.

The fashion show was held in aid of Share a Dream and St Hilda’s and featured celebrity hairdresser James Brown, reality TV star Jamie Laing, and beauty journalist Triona McCarthy.
