To celebrate National Tree Week, which takes place from March 4-10, Belvedere House, Gardens and Park have two guided walks taking place on Sunday March 4 and Saturday March 10.
The Belvedere Sacred Tree Trail takes place on Sunday March 4, at 2pm. Participants are invited to meet Belvedere general manager Bartle Darcy, for a trail which will involve a guided walk of Belvedere’s forest, discovering deep forgotten wisdom and identifying and explaining the significance of sacred trees in the Celtic landscape.
On Saturday March 10, a guided walk will take place to celebrate National Tree Week, in association with Crann. Those who wish to take part in this free woodland walk should meet at main reception at 2pm, wearing appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. The walk will last one and a half to two hours, and will be led by expert members of Crann, a leading voluntary tree organisation dedicated to the promotion and protection of trees, hedgerows and woodlands.
