You could be the next big thing with Music and Arts Studio

The Monksland-based Music and Arts Studio is gearing up for an exciting new singing competition which could see you winning €1,000 and a recording opportunity.

Based on a new alternative format, season one of Quest for Fame launches on February 1 in search of the best singing talent Ireland and the UK has to offer.

Auditions are open to all ages from four up, accepting any music genre eg, classical, country, folk/traditional, metal, hip hop/R&B, jazz, pop, rap, reggae, and rock. The show’s format consists of four phases: 1. Producer auditions for 500 places 2. Quarter finals (international vote ), 3. Semi-finals and 4. Final and the live shows.

You have just 90 seconds to convince the judges you have talent, so use your time wisely. You can enter as a solo singer, duo, trio, etc, and/or be accompanied by guitar or piano/keyboard.

The winner will receive €1,000 cash and a chance to record three songs of their choice for an EP album. Second place prize is €500 cash and third place prize is €250. There is a fourth prize for judges’ choice - this contestant will get the chance to record, mix, and master two original songs for a demo CD and demo submission directly to over eight major record companies including Universal Records, EMI Records, Sony Records, and Warner Bros Records, for a potential recording contract.

It’s just €5 to register your act. Three live shows, with free admission, take place in Athlone Springs Hotel and are filmed by a professional camera crew.
