American wrestling stars set to rock the Radisson

For the first time in over two years, stars of American wrestling will invade Athlone when the powerhouses of Emerald Wrestling Promotions stamp their mark all over the Radisson Blu Hotel on Saturday February 4 at 6.45pm.

In a night of guaranteed non-stop action, those in attendance will witness the incredible power of heavyweight gladiators and the athleticism of their high flying cruiserweight counterparts.

One wrestler who will be hitting the Radisson is the monstrous Zulu Warrior – standing 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighing in at a muscle packed 17 stones, the African native is an intimidating force for any challenger.

The Zulu Warrior moved to the UK at a young age and due to loyalty in displaying his tribal culture experienced poor acceptance in society. Zulu decided to take out his frustrations in the professional wrestling ring where he could show the power of the Zulu people.

Over the last five years the Zulu Warrior has dominated the European heavyweight wrestling division. This success coupled with his unique look recently caught the attention of the biggest force in the pro wrestling world - the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE ). The African monster competed in tryout matches for the WWE and impressed officials greatly.

Before he makes his move to the USA, Zulu has set a challenge to an Irish man - Eamon O’Neill. The African native wants to find out who delivers the toughest warrior, the Celts or the Zulu people. All will be answered when the two heavyweights collide in a two out of three falls battle which is sure to have the Radisson rocking on February 4.

Talking the talk is a key part of a pro wrestler’s career but running your mouth can get you into trouble! This could be the case for the arrogant Canadian Chipendale Dunkan Delicuious.

The Toronto native recently boasted to wrestling reporters that he is afraid of no man. This statement prompted a challenge from the seven foot giant, Tron. Tron has just returned from a one year development deal with the WWE. The giant who has one of the most devastating chokeslams in wrestling may finally silence the loudmouth Dunkan Delicious.

Fans in the Radisson will also witness the introduction of new wrestling stars that are a product of the Midlands only pro-wrestling training school. Inspired by their heros, The Hardy Boys, two brothers from the Midlands have trained and prepared tirelessly for over 18 months to display their talents. With their breathtaking top rope manoeuvres, The Party Rockers Jay and Ryan are excited to show the fans of the Midlands what high flying action is all about.

After a jam-packed night of exciting matches including an over-the-top rope royal rumble, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to meet all the wrestlers and collect autographs/pictures with the show having a family friendly theme.

Tickets for this American Wrestling event are €10 and can be purchased now at the reception desk of the Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone.
