Westmeath County Council and Athlone Town Council would like to inform customers of their arrangements and opening hours for the Christmas holiday period.
Council offices in Mullingar, Castlepollard, Kilbeggan, and Athlone will be closed to the public from 4pm this Friday December 23 and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday January 3.
All libraries will close at 4pm on Friday December 23 and re-open as normal on Tuesday January 3.
Mullingar Swimming Pool will be closed from 3.30pm on Friday December 23 and will re-open on Thursday and Friday December 29 and 30, closing December 31 and re-opening on Monday January 2 with public sessions from 2pm to 5pm.
Landfill and recycling centres will also be closed for a period over the Christmas break.
The Athlone Civic Amenity Recycling Centre and Mullingar Civic Amenity Recycling Centre will be closed from Saturday December 24 and will reopen at 9am on Wednesday December 28. Both recycling centres will be closed on Monday January 2 and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday January 3.
The Ballydonagh Transfer Station in Athlone will be closed from 1pm on Saturday December 24 and will reopen at 9am on Wednesday December 28. It will be closed on Monday January 2 and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday January 3.
