Toyota has just launched its 2012 Avensis and Hilux models here. The Avensis has received several interior and exterior changes. Prices start at €24,995 for the D-4D 125 (2.0 ) Terra saloon.
Designed, engineered and built in Europe, the Avensis was first launched at the end of 1997 and has since firmly established itself in the Irish D-segment. It sold 3,368 units in Ireland in 2010, representing a 31.4 per cent segment share.
The new Avensis has a revised engine line-up, and the 2.0L D-4D is now in the current (pre-Budget ) tax Band A, with emissions of 120 g/km.
Toyota says that the Avensis also gets a revised suspension and improved fuel consumption. And a new Luna Grade has been added. Toyota also say that there is an increased level of standard specification.
There is a choice of two body styles, three diesel and two petrol engines, three transmissions, and four model grades.

Toyota has also launched their new Hilux with exterior and interior changes.
The engine line-up has remained the same but all engines have been improved. The company says that they both deliver higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions across the engine line-up.
