From launch, the Irish engine range for the new Volkswagen CC (formally called the Passat CC ) will comprise powerful and efficient 2.0-litre TDI 140 bhp or 170 bhp common rail diesels, both in tax band B. Both engines are available optionally with six speed manual or seven speed auto DSG.
All derivatives will have Blue Motion Technologies as standard. The 170 bhp now has a standard XDS differential, an electronic cross-axle traction control system for improved traction and handling.
Volkswagen Ireland say that the CC has been extremely popular in Ireland since its launch in 2008, and is expected to arrive in the Irish market in March 2012. The German carmaker says that more details including pricing will be available nearer to the launch date.
