A few years back, the man with the velvety voice, Jack L, performed a show called Chez Jack L, based on the music of a composer he admired greatly, Jacque Brel. It was an astonishing show and an enormous hit. Scheduled to run for three weeks in Dublin, the original show ran for four sell-out months followed by a smash hit run throughout Ireland and Europe.
It is easy to understand, as Jack Lukeman is a very talented individual. His voice has been compared to those of the greats and been said to “penetrate you like a bullet”. To really experience one of his shows first hand and listen to his amazing voice can only be described as surreal.
This autumn, due to popular demand, Jack has decided to revive the show but with an added twist of including songs from his other favourite composers as well as some of his own great hits. Chez Jack L comes to Roscommon Arts Centre on Friday November 18 at 8pm for one night only. Here in Roscommon fans have patiently awaited the return of Jack Lukeman, aka Jack L, and it is advised that tickets for this show be purchased as soon as possible.
