The first annual Athlone’s Finest Cocktail Awards took place in Karma last Sunday.
Eight representatives from Karma, The Prince Bar, The Sheraton, Suede Café Bar, and The Athlone Springs competed for the coveted title. The brief was to make the finest cocktail possible and the contestants were marked under a number of headings by independent judge Mark Hogan.
Some fantastic cocktails were produced and great skill and expertise were demonstrated in their creation. After much deliberation, The Sheraton’s Franck Sampers was crowned Athlone’s Finest for his cocktail Hawaii Beach and Karma’s Jefferson Bastos was runner-up with his creation, Sunset.
The Karma management team would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and support and look forward to developing the event for next year.
