Acorn Theatre Co make a welcome return to The Town Hall Theatre Ballinasloe with their production of Unforgiven by Leitrim based John McDwyer this November 3-5.
This comedy play bears the same name as the Clint Eastwood western. However it is not the play of the film rather it is the story of two movie mad bachelor farmers and their more down-to-earth spinster neighbour. In the course of the play they seek to resolve in hilarious manner issues old and new with a dramatic and unforeseen and mostly hilarious outcome.
The cast of four includes John Boland, Seamus Feerick, Mary Cuddy, and Pat Canty.
Director Eamonn O’Donoghue points out that Unforgiven was chosen for its entertainment value. In its first run in 2008 it had audiences rolling in the aisles in venues both in Ireland and overseas. It deals in an original and light handed manner with traditional Irish themes such as inheritance, exile, and resentment. It is guaranteed to raise more than a laugh or two.
With staging and presentation being managed by Pat McGovern all is set for the performance from November 3-5 at the Town Hall.
