Scratch Cup success at Mount Temple

Mt Temple Golf Club had a successful Senior and Junior Scratch Cup on Sunday September 18 which was kindly sponsored by Teligence.

With the championship course playing its hardest, the strong winds made some of the par 3s (the 8th and the 15th ), play to the most difficult in their history. Richard Bridges of Stackstown played some extraordinary golf in these conditions to put up a score of 105 over the 27 holes, four under in total. Alan Lowry of Esker Hills, a younger brother of Shane’s, put up a score of one under on the first 18 holes but fell away somewhat in the last nine to come in second place with a score of 112. The Junior Scratch Cup was won by Donal Lavin of Corballis with a fine score of 118 and Terry Lilly of Slade Valley coming in second place with a score of 120.
