Bikram Yoga Athlone officially opened its doors on Saturday with a reception at the new purpose-built Bikram Yoga studio in Monksland, Athlone.
Deputy Denis Naughten, owner Tricia Fleming, supporters, and friends turned out to attend the opening of Athlone’s first dedicted Bikram Yoga studio which is owned and run by Tricia.
Bikram Yoga teacher Tricia trained with founder Bikram Choudhury in his LA studio in 2002, and she has been teaching Bikram yoga throughout Ireland and as far afield as Thailand and South Africa since 2003.
Practised correctly, Bikram Yoga is proven to have a profound healing power on the body and is known to considerably reduce the possibility of injury and illness due to its systematic working of the body, inside and out. The classes are for everyone regardless of age, ability, or fitness level.
The new studio at Monksland is open six days a week, with a variety of classes on offer. An introductory offer of €49 for 30 consecutive days is available on your first visit to the studio.
The main studio is capable of accommodating up to 50 clients and features a unique heating system which is specifically designed to keep the temperature at 38-40°C, the appropriate level for Bikram Yoga. Changing room and shower facilities are available on site. Parking is free.
