Senior hurling championship semi-final
Raharney v Castletown, Cusack Park Sunday 5.30pm
The second of this year’s senior hurling semi-finals is down for decision this Sunday evening as reigning champions Raharney put their title on the line against an upwardly mobile Castletown-Geoghegan side. Clonkill are already safely through to the decider.
While the reigning champions will be favourites to set up another final showdown with Clonkill they can expect to be asked some serious questions from an emerging Castletown side who are seeking the club’s first title since 2004.
The Deelsiders however should have the experience and strength in depth to clear this hurdle and take a step closer to retaining their title.
