All welcome to Lir Investors Network launch next month

Midlands Gateway Chamber will host an open evening on October 3 at 7pm in the Mullingar Park Hotel to launch Lir Investors Network (the Midlands Business Angels ).

This event is intended to give potential investors and entrepreneurs an opportunity to find out more about the network and how it will facilitate bringing entrepreneurs and investors together - with a focus on inward investment in the Midland region.

John Teeling, founder of Cooley Distillery will chair the meeting. Speakers on the night include Gerry Duffy, UK Deca-Enduroman Champion 2011 and Diane Roberts, national director of Halo Business Angels Network.

The Lir Investors Network was founded by Mullingar businessman Martin Nally. Witnessing the downturn in investment in the local area Martin set about researching the development of an investors network. Martin has already brought together 10 investors. The group welcomes inquiries from other interested parties who are seeking to invest in worthwhile businesses in the Midlands region.

Speaking about the network Martin said, “The Lir Investors Network is about funding job creation in high potential companies through capital investment and expertise. It works similar to a marriage bureau, whereby investors are given a chance to work with suitable early stage or start-up companies with a view to creating jobs and increasing growth. Entrepreneurs wishing to set up in the Midlands are invited to attend with a view to assessing the suitability of their company to the network. Investors who would like to find out more about Lir Investors and the Business Angels Network are also welcome to attend. All representatives from organisations who support business growth in this region will be more than welcome to join us on the night.”

The event is free to attend but spaces are limited. Email [email protected] or text the words ‘Yes Lir’ with your full name to (086 ) 3857170 to confirm your place.
