The annual South Westmeath Hospice Coffee Morning will take place next Thursday September 15. Each year in September, families and businesses all over Athlone host coffee mornings to raise money for the South Westmeath Hospice. People are asked to collect €2 for each cup of fresh ground coffee consumed.
The money raised from the coffee morning stays locally and goes towards the upkeep of services at the South Westmeath Hospice in Athlone. Up to 13,000 patients will require access to hospice and specialist palliative care in Ireland by 2016.
