An Athlone woman was one of three AIT graduates chosen for the Paddy Russell scholarship by local accountancy firm Russell Brennan Keane.
Charlene McCrossan from Coosan, Athlone, a business and accounting graduate will take up a much sought-after position with the 50-year-old firm along with Rosemarie Shanley from Clara, and Kevin Hogan from Birr, Co Offaly.
“After emerging from their full-time education, our AIT trainees, who usually have their roots and families in the midland region, are a natural fit to our audit and accounting teams,” said Liam Rattigan, CEO of Russell Brennan Keane.
“Once fully trained, they go on to pursue successful careers as professional accountants in practice or industry in the region and across the world, with a confidence built on a good AIT education and well grounded experience in the skills and work of the accounting and auditing profession.”
