The Cathaoirleach of Westmeath County Council, Cllr Mark Cooney launched the Westmeath Culture Night 2011 programme of events this week in the County Buildings, Mullingar.
An evening of entertainment was held in the Atrium of the County Buildings last Tuesday night ahead of the culture night which will take place on Friday September 23.
The RDS National Touring Craft Exhibition visited County Buildings this week to coincide with the launch of Westmeath Culture Night.
Westmeath will be home to the largest number of events on Culture Night outside of the capital for the second successive year.
This year more than 80 events have been planned for the one-day spectacular throughout the county - beating last year’s impressive 70-plus events!
