Check out the horsepower at Roscommon Racecourse

If vintage, classic, sports, or modified cars are your passion, then the Charity Car Show at Roscommon Racecourse on Sunday August 28 is the perfect day out.

With trade stands, vintage cars, classic and sports cars, as well as modified cars, the Charity Car Show is a must visit for all motoring enthusiasts, with up to 300 vehicles expected on the day.

The day has been planned in association with local charity shop Angies Attic, and the show will act as a fundraiser for the shop’s supported charities, with some of the funds to go towards famine relief in Somalia.

Make it a family day out and bring the children; there will be kids’ entertainment, face painting, a dog show, and refreshments on offer on the day.

The organisers are hoping for a huge turnout as this is the first event of its kind to be held in the town.

Gates are open to the public at 12 noon, and all car entries must be in by 11am.

Entry costs €10 for adults, €7 for OAPs, and children under 16 go free.
