Carmel Sheerin is set to launch her duets album on Monday August 22 at the Bridge House, Tullamore.
The new album, Together Again, consists of 10 duets, featuring Mick Denver, Robert Mizzell, John Hogan, Simon Casey, and many more.
On the night you will get a chance to hear the duets and purchase the album, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research. Also on the night you will be spoilt with the new Sheerin family seven-piece country band, this is made up of Carmel and her six brothers. Robert Mizzell, John Hogan, Simon Casey, The Benn Sisters, Sean Loughrey, and many more will also grace us with their presence on the night.
Rarely will you pick up an Irish album that doesn’t have something from the Sheerins attributed to it. The Sheerins have been involved with so many Irish acts in so many different ways. If it’s not Des or Danny producing the album, then it’s Danny or Carmel on backing vocals, or Tom on fiddle, or even Des on bass with Danny on acoustics. Their forthcoming album sees this talented family step out from the shadows of other musical acts and step into the limelight with their own unique sound. Carmel Sheerin has scaled new heights in the past year and performed on the international scene, at a level most bands in this country could only aspire to. This is mainly down to the unique sound of Carmel on lead vocals and the band singing clean harmonies throughout.
