Fundraising week for Athlone Town

Athlone Town, the oldest senior club in Ireland, is announcing a number of fundraising initiatives designed to help the club build for the future.

Athlone Town is a voluntary club but is projecting a shortfall for this season and with higher running costs associated with competing at a senior level, your help is need edmore than ever.

In order to build on the progress made in moving to the new stadium at Lissywollen, the club is calling on supporters to back a number of initiatives aimed at directing funds into the club.

The first of these fundraisers will be a prize draw with the chance to win various holiday packages including a Mediterranean Cruise. Tickets for this draw are available for €20 each or a book of three for €50. Tickets will be available from a number of local outlets and also the club offices. For more information please contact (087 ) 9918956.

The club is appealing to all supporters to make an extra effort to support the team at the remaining home game against Longford Town on Saturday November 15, with kick off at 7.30pm.

Match day revenue is important to the club and a healthy attendance at our remaining fixture would greatly help in the planning for next season. Supporters are encouraged to come along to the match and support the prize draw.
