The Opel Zafira Tourer will make its world premiere at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September and will arrive here next spring. Opel say that it will offer a blend of functionality, wellness, premium quality values, and innovative technologies to the MPV segment. Opel also promise more comfort and safety features.
Opel say that the Tourer in the name marks a quantum leap forward. With an extensively re-designed Flex7 seating system, the third generation of Opel’s compact MPV establishes new cabin flexibility and quality.
Thanks to its generous cabin space and flexible seating system, the Zafira Tourer offers 710 litres load volume in a five-seat configuration (65 litres more than the current Zafira ), and up to 1,860 litres (+ 40 litres ) when all rear seats are folded down.
The Opel Zafira Tourer will launch in Ireland in spring 2012 and will be available with three versions of the 2.0 CDTI common-rail turbo diesel engine familiar from the Astra and Insignia.
I believe that the current Opel Zafira will remain on offer next to the new, more refined Zafira Tourer, and the new version will be priced higher.
