Our Lady’s Bower is proud to host its sixth annual Duck Derby today, Friday May 13. It promises to be a visual delight as all sponsored ducks are released onto the Shannon at the White Bridge at 7.30pm on Friday evening.
The sponsored ducks proceed to the town bridge and the first duck past the owner of the finishing point will receive €500, followed by €300 for the second duck, and a third prize of €200. This event is a hugely popular spectacle and is Our Lady’s Bower main annual fundraising event. Ducks are €10 each or 13 ducks for €100 and will be available at the starting line tonight or from the school on (090 ) 6474777.
Sponsorship and support of this event enables the school to upgrade facilities and resources as necessary to benefit pupils.
