Are you parenting alone/solo? Would you like to see more supports in your area for people parenting alone? If so the Lone Parents Support Group would like to hear from you - male or female, young or old.
Why not come along and have your say and meet with likeminded people! There will be a meeting held in the Prince of Wales Hotel on Thursday May 12 from 11am to 12.30pm. This event is organised by Westmeath Community Development Ltd in conjunction with Athlone Women’s Network and the Gateway Project.
The first meeting of this group was held on April 8 in the Prince of Wales Hotel and had a very successful turnout; the outcome from this meeting was that the group should continue to meet once a month to provide support for people parenting alone/solo.
The initiative is being funded by Westmeath County Council. Tea and coffee will be served.
