Promises Promises in Passionfruit

Playwright Margaret Mc Kenna Mullan is back with her brand new comedy play, Promises Promises. If you enjoyed The Sleeveens or Let’s Twist Again you are in for a night of side-splitting laughter when No Fixed Abode Group hit the stage with Promises Promises in the Passionfruit Theatre, Athlone on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday November 6, 7, and 8.

Promises Promises is a touching and funny story of two widows, mother and daughter, both striving to cope with their own complicated situation - Winifred with the amorous advances of Peadar the egotistical bachelor farmer and Roseleen, her mother, with the strange side effects of her new medication which drive her man-mad.

Winifred O’Grady is played by Aileen Keena, a superb up and coming young talent. Peadar McGreevy is excellently played by Ronan Emmett, and Mickaleen McGreevy by specialist character actor Sheamus McKenna. Father Morriarty will be brilliantly played by Frankie Keena, while playwright Margaret McKenna Mullan superbly plays Rosaleen O’Grady.
