In the first event of its kind, the voluntary and corporate sectors will come together at a conference to share experiences and best practice. Partnering for Success will take place on November 20 at Croke Park and the consortium is encouraging Westmeath non-profit groups to attend.
The corporate and community and voluntary sector have much to learn and gain from each other, according to the group, which will host the Partnering for Success conference.
The conference will include representatives from both sectors, working in tandem, to explore the leadership and management challenges facing organisations in Ireland and how both can learn from each other.
The conference marks the first time that the sectors have formally come together to explore how the private and the community and voluntary sectors can work together for mutual benefit.
The conference will include insights into how the community and voluntary sector is developing and the main challenges that face its leaders. It will also focus on how the corporate and voluntary sectors can foster and develop ongoing relationships by sharing best practice and experiences. There will be sessions covering areas such as governance, fundraising, management, HR, and technology.
The conference will take place on Thursday November 20 at the Event Centre in Croke Park. For details on the conference and to register please contact www.wheel.ie/partneringforsuccess or (01 ) 454 8727.
