Let your dog take the lead to win a year’s supply of dog food

Walk off those Easter eggs and have a fun, family day out on Easter Monday, April 25, at the National Dog Walk in Athlone. The event is being held by Petmania to raise vital funds for The Carers Association’s work supporting voluntary family carers of loved ones who are elderly, seriously ill, people with disabilities, and children with special needs.

There are fantastic prizes to be won on the day with the dog who raises the most money in Athlone receiving a year’s supply of Royal Canin dog food valued at up to €1,500.

Ireland’s top dog raising the most money nationwide will take his or her family away for a luxury five-night holiday in one of Ireland’s top dog friendly hotels, Harvey’s Point Hotel in Donegal!

So get your four-legged friends out there walking five kilometres with Petmania to support the hardest-working people in Ireland - voluntary family carers who dedicate themselves to keeping their loved ones at home for as long as possible.

The National Dog Walk takes place on Easter Monday, April 25 at 2pm, from Petmania, Fernhill Garden Centre, Ballymahon Road, Athlone. All registered dogs are asked to raise sponsorship to be in with the chance of being crowned Top Dog and win some fabulous prizes.

It costs just €5 for an individual and their dog to take part, or €10 for a family of four. Register at your local Petmania store or Carers Association Centre or online at www.nationaldogwalk.ie
