Renault Ireland showcased its Electric Kangoo compact van at this year’s Energy Show in Dublin last week.
Presented by SEAI, the Energy Show is a must for industry and business to see and learn about the latest sustainable energy technologies and practices. The annual two-day exhibition showcased leading energy suppliers and the latest innovative products and services. There was also a wealth of tips from best practice case studies and insights into sustainable energy opportunities at their extensive seminar programme.
Among the attractions on the Renault stand was the Kangoo ZE, which will hit Irish roads in November. The electric van attracted a lot of interest at the show from Irish van drivers. And Renault recently announced that a long wheelbase version of the Kangoo, the Maxi ZE, will also be available in both two-seat and five-seat versions.
As a result, Renault will have not just one, but three electric vehicles in the compact van segment by the end of 2011, enabling business owners to choose the vehicle that suits their needs most.
Renault launched its electric vehicle offensive in 2008 with the announcement of its comprehensive, upcoming line-up of four vehicles, which includes the Kangoo ZE, Fluence ZE, ZOE, and the Twizy.
Their stand also featured information totems on charging electric vehicles. Members of the public also entered a competition at the show to win a test drive in a Renault electric vehicle at its upcoming summer road show.
