Nearly €4,000 raised by AIT staff has been presented to three charities in the Midlands and North-west.
Cheques for €1,300 each were presented to representatives of the South Westmeath Hospice, the North West Hospice and the Midlands Simon Community by the organisers of the fund-raising events.
The fundraising organising committee at the institute includes Miriam O’Connor, School of Science; Dr Andy Fogarty, School of Science; and Paul Mulvey, School of Engineering.
The representatives of the charities that attended the presentation were Ted Carty, South Westmeath Hospice; John Kelly, North West Hospice; and Cormac Lally, Midlands Simon Community.
