In spite of ongoing freezing weather conditions for the greater part of this week, the majority of council services and facilities have been operating as normal.
Westmeath County Council has been keeping the public up to date on water supply, road conditions, and public services on a daily basis via its newly revamped website www.westmeathcoco.ie
Belvedere House and Gardens in Mullingar has been open all this week, and it has also been business as usual for the council’s area offices, recycling facilities, and Ballydonagh Household Waste Depot. Mullingar Swimming Pool is open as normal.
Athlone, Mullingar, Moate, Kilbeggan, Castlepollard, and Ballynacarrigy branch libraries are also open this week.
Anyone who is unable to attend their local library and wishes to renew library books from home can do so by phoning County Library HQ, Mullingar at (044 ) 9332162 or Athlone Library at (090 ) 6442157 Monday to Friday.
