New Ford Mondeo debuts here this month

Ford Ireland has released full details for the newly updated Mondeo which goes on sale in Ireland later this month. They promise more power and more car with the extra good news that it will cost €600 less than the outgoing model.

With the new entry level Mondeo Style 2.0 TDCi 115 bhp model retailing from €25,975 ex-works, it offers a handsome decrease from the €26,650 lead-in price of the previous model which had a 1.8 100 bhp TDCi engine.

“New Mondeo is a great value proposition and not only in relation to the lead-in price,” said Eddie Murphy, managing director of Ford Ireland. “In relation to annual road tax, there is good news as all of the manual transmission models have an ultra-low CO2 figure of just 139g/km, placing the car within Band B or an annual bill of just €156.”

The new Mondeo line-up consists of six-speed 2.0 TDCi models with a range of performance levels: 115PS; 140PS; and 160PS and is available in Ireland in three trim levels: style, zetec, and titanium.
